I am currently an assistant professor at the University of Nancy (France).
My main research interest is in understanding the neural mechanism underlying face recognition by means of event-related potentials (ERPs). This method is used to investigate non-invasively the time course of face processing in the human brain in real time. In particular, I focus my research on the face-sensitive N170 component, which can be used as a tool to study the brain mechanisms involved in processing faces.
I have two main research interests. The first is to understand how and when familiar and personally familiar faces are processed, and the nature of their representation in memory. The second is in clarifying the neuro-functional aspects of face processing in prosopagnosic patients using ERPs.
